An affordable, low maintainance sedan built by Toyota. A popular first car. They will run forever. Also available in hatch back or sport coupe.
My personal favorite is the vintage 1979 2 door sedan. Rear wheel drive, 1.6 liter engine, bought it for $400 and it's still running strong. Corollas rule! I am glad I bought my Corolla, but I wish parts were easier to find for it.

Starting off with rear wheel drive in 1966, the Corolla was introduced in the U.S. in 1968 powered by a 1.1L engine. Skipping over all the useless 1 something liter crap, the Corolla is still using a 1.8L engine, and Toyota has sold more Corolla's than most companies have sold cars. Corolla's are the longest lasting, least maintainable cars in the world.
