When one makes a statement to another that is part compliment, part insult.

Jeff: You know what? No. He'll see Jeff next.
*Gets up to Leave*
Nurse: Wait, you're not suppo-
Jeff: Or what? You'll do twice the work of a doctor for half the pay?
Nurse: ... Thank you?
Britta: Call it a Complisult. Part compliment, part insult-He invented them. I coined the term. See what I did there? That was an Explanabrag.
A backhanded compliment.
"That's such a nice dress. It does wonders for your figure."
This person has just delievered a complisult.
An compliment mixed with an insult, neither hidden.
Sdean: You have nice eyes there, big nose

When you are complimented and insulted in the same sentence.
Example of a complisult: "You are not the smartest person I know, but you are not the dumbest either."
A compliment that is really an insult, or an insult that is really a compliment
"He called me a wannabe geek. Now I'm not sure if he was being nice or mean. I suppose he meant it as a complisult"
A compliment with an implied insult.
That dress doesn't make you look THAT fat". "Wow, thanks for the complisult!"

Friend 1: "Don't worry, you're not as ugly as her"
Friend 2: "Oh, thanks."
Friend 3: "That was a complisult..."
Friend 1: "Oh yeah..."
"You can do much better than him!"
(That is a complisult because they are saying that the girl deserves more, but they are insulting her boyfriend at the same time.)
