A pounded-steak that is prepared as if it were fried-chicken - dipped in batter and fried. Usually served with cream gravy and mashed potatoes. Popular in Texas. There is also 'Chicken-fried Chicken,' which is prepared in the same way, but from chicken breasts instead of pounded-steak. This plate of chicken-fried steak could feed three people!
