The act of abstaining from drinking more than one beer at a party until you are able to evaluate how drunk everybody else is getting, and therefore how drunk you can safely get without being considered to be a drunken jackass. I practiced brewcrastination last night until Eric ran by with a lampshade on his head. Then I knew it was okay to really start drinking.
