Cross between a skater and (I hate to say it...) a skier. Rides a snowboard.
...should be self explanatory. (i had to use the word "Boarder" in my example)
A person that Snowboards. They differ slightly from Skaters. They tend to be more in touch with the world and the elements. Wear less baggier jeans, more Brand names such as Quicksilver and O'Neil. Boarders also laze about too much, doing what they want, when they want. Apart from these minor details they look identical to Skaters.
Townies will hate them...
Boarders are not unlike Skaters. Wearing and doing generally the same apart from being strapped to a board with no wheels at 3000ft.

A school aged kid who attends boarding school. They are often stereotyped as being from wealthy families or from large farms. Although many boarders are from these situations, a great deal are also on financial bursaries, and academic/cultural/sport scholarships. Some are just from average families, and their parents have had to make many sacrifices to ensure that their children could receive an education far superior than their own.
Some Aussie kids go to boarding school because they live in remote areas or have poor schooling systems in their area. Many have completed Distance Education.
Boarders in regional boarding schools often affectionately call each other 'bogans' and often dress in trackies, singlets, flannies, thongs and ugg boots. They are world leaders when it comes to wearing their hair in 'messy buns'.
They often use slang and swearing, and are known to be scabs, always trying to get free food off anyone who's got it. They frequently buy fundraiser chocolates.
Socials between boarding schools, "Boarder's Bashes", are extremely popular.
As they enter the senior years, many are taken on leave by day girls to parties involving drugs, sex, alcohol, smokes, and not to mention a video camera to record everthing with. Some of the worst of these will boast of how much they threw up.

A person that participates in snowboarding, wakeboarding, skateboarding, windsurfing, longboarding, freeboarding, surfing, wakeskating, wakesurfing, skimboarding, kitesurfing, flowriding or any sport that shares similar traits as those listed above. These people tend to be down to earth, and share a special passion for their sport, life and the elements. They can be identified by the clothing they wear usually brand names associated with board sports like Quiksilver, Forum, Billabong, LibTech ect. Boarders lead a laid back lifestyle often forced into doing slave labour so that they can continue to pursue their passion. Often dreaming that one day they will be good enough to be sponsored and be paid to do what they love. When asked to describe their sport they often go on long rants about how amazing and deeply connected they are with everything around them and how the world is a perfect place when they are riding. A very spiritual experience.
There goes a boarder now you can tell because he has some sort of board like device with him/her and the intention to ride it on some gnarly terrain.
