A pseudo-documentary horror movie that inspires different reactions based on your intelligence:
If IQ < 70 Then
reaction$ = "I thought it was real!"
Else If IQ < 80 Then
reaction$ = "They didn't fool me! I knew it was fake!"
Else IF IQ < 90 Then
reaction$ = "A brilliant film! It plays on your visceral fears."
reaction$ = "Dumb!"
"I have The Blair Witch Project on DVD."
A very very low budget movie released in theaters in 1999 after a success on the internet. About 3 student film-makers that travel to the forests of Burkittsville to create a documentary on the blair witch legend. During their filming they disappeard and one year later their footage was found under an old house of a once child slaughterer who admitted that he was possessed by the witch.
The BPP, is one of the worlds biggest grossing movies ever and became a horror film phenomenom. Since then, there has been a sequel and a planning for a prequel. A movie that contains no blood/gore/violence, but just noises and the unknown, creating a devastatingly chilling atmosphere if you have followed the movie and collected data from the first 40 minutes about the witch.
" The Bpp is the scariest shit that i have ever seen.... Lets watch it again!!"
Depending on who you talk to, this is either:
a) A revolutionary, scary as fuck film
b) An over-rated peice of shit
The film was sucsessful due to a very well planned internet advertising campaign and shit-loads of hype. Of course, due to the film being shot in the amateur-style, shaky fashion, a lot of people thought that the film was genuine.
If you think about it, the film couldn't be real, because:
Why would they take their cameras with them and leave them on, even when they're being chased and are about to die?
The film wouldn't have been released, as the parents of the students probably wouldn't have allowed them.
The scariness of the film majorly depends on whether you thought it was real, and by the time it was released, it had got out that it wasn't.
But what also made the film scary was that it leaves most of it to your imagination. While a lot of moden horror films have massive amounts of gore and violence, this film has one scene where one of the documentary makers opens a package to reveal a small body part. That's it. The rest of the film relies on distant noises and panic to keep you on the edge of your seat.
One peice of advice if you haven't seen the film and want to or if you are still confused by the ending - research it on the internet first, and pay attention to the part where they are speaking to local residents about the Blair Witch. The ending is confusing if you don't, very confusing. I won't spoil it.
The Blair Witch has...
Non Porno version of the Bare Bitch Project
Why the fuck does whe have her clothes on? ITS NOT THE PORNO!!! WHAAAAAT???
Greatest horror movie to come out in the past decade. About three student film makers who disapear in the woods near Burkittesville, Maryland. Their have been reports of people having heart attacks and people leaving the theatre in the middle of the movie.
Best watched at night before you go camping.
A very over-rated non scary film. Possibly the worst movie ever made. Somehow managed to scare people with no dead bodies or blood.
If you were scared by The Blair With Project, you're fucked up.
If you believed The Blair Withc Project was real, you're even more fucked up.
An extremely scary movie of epic proportians... 'Till you find out it's not real.
I went to the theature and saw Blair Witch project and thought it was the best movie ever... Then when I bought it I relized it was fake and now it's a so-so movie
