An analogue of 2cb, 2ci is a relatively new hallucinogenic drug(2001) relative to acid and extasy. Until recently 2ci could be purchased online. The DEA is currently trying to prosecute several research chemical vendors for selling it. No individual has been prosecuted for 2ci.
It produces visual hallucinogenic effects, and users report "seeing" music at higher doses. It also produces empathy and positive emotions in a fashion similar to MDMA. Some users report a pleasant inability to stop smiling.
It is a member of the 2C family, other 2C's include 2ce and 2cb. 2cb is currently illegal in the United States, and as such 2ci distribution could be prosecuted under the Federal Analogue Act. However, as of December 2010, no individuals have been prosecuted for 2ci.
Commonly goes by the street name "Isabel" or "Izzy." This comes from the letter I in 2ci, similar to how MDMA is called "Molly."
