1. Used to describe a person that appears to be someone else. They are often found on social media using a fake profile for the purpose of catfishing, phishing, or spam. Often times they have little to no friends or interest in common. Additionally, said profile cam be milky found in facebook groups spamming friend requests.

2. A term used as a one word reply to assist in warning others of a potential catfish, bot, or fake profile. Usually, #Ellie is a female ranging from age 23 -35.

Cardiac1: I just received a friend request from this gorgeous female named (insert).
Cardiac2: Calm down, that's an #Ellie. I got that same request. We have nothing in common.

Cardiac1: Beware of (insert name). Seems like a fake profile.
