Overall, the concept that the two political parties in the US are actually indistinguishable - the party of ONE. The two parties are not actually parties but rather, two halves of a symbiotic system. They are indistinguishable because the output of the system remains the same, regardless of which half is 'in power'. Either half, when 'out-of-power,' is obligated to obstruct ANY/ALL progress by the other half while screaming the half 'in power' is about to destroy the country. All problems and issues of the country are explained as having been caused by the other half.

In this party, you don't vote FOR a President, you defensively vote AGAINST the other candidate. You choose 'lesser' evils. If you give the Presidency to one half, you generally try to give Congress to the other half to minimize the damage either half can do to you.

Because NEITHER half is interested in what the public wants, the single party therefore generates a lot of unhappiness. This dissatisfaction guarantees regular and routine trades of where they hold 'power.'

They are also sometimes referred to as Tweedeldee and Tweedeldum but due to the indistinguishable nature of both pairs, it has never been clear how they should be paired.
Members of both the Demopublican AND Republicrat halves BOTH:
+ over-promise and fail to deliver.
+ ignore what the public wants.
+ promise to cure all your problems.
+ blame all problems on the other half.
+ obfuscate when asked pointed questions.
+ sell themselves to lobbyists.
+ scream for campaign reform when 'out of power'.
+ obstruct the formation of any 3rd-party and resist its participation in campaign activities (e.g., televised debates).
+ prevent any individual really worthy of the Presidency from receiving their 'party' nomination.

Get the Republicrat mug.
One who always votes for the minority party hoping neither gains enough control to pull anything too stupid and with the understanding that both are out to screw us raw.
Ed thinks the Democrats will rob us blind and the Republicans will make us too poor to steal from so he usually votes Republicrat.

1.) A philosophical stance within this type of mindset that display a right to grant either party proper respect when it comes time to get shit done. Also, they surrender positive attributes to both sides of the fence.
2.) Simply open-mindedness with a strong loyalty to their country in her purist form.
1.) When a Republicrat finds out the crowded building is burning down they don't keep it secret and quietly find the door in order to risk those near the door block the exit for them to perish inside.
2.) Every Republicrat that I know believes in unity and faith to the homeland first.

Get the Republicrat mug.
A derogatory term which combines the words "Republican" and "Democrat" that is used to generalize the two parties as being incompetent to hold public office in which they were elected or appointed to. Whereas, they have ignored their oaths to protect the Constitution of the United States of America and serve not the citizens in which they represent, but rather themselves, family members and wealthy corporate or private financial contributors.
taxpayer #1: "Hey Mark, who are you voting for in the primaries this year?"

taxpayer #2: "Well it won't be any of those Republicrats with those million-dollar ad campaigns."

taxpayer #1: "Yeah, I think it's time for America to wake up and realize there are many more parties to choose from."
