When some stupid assed ricer instigates a race with a faster car and loses, a common excuse is to make a statement about how their car handles better on curvy roads- ie the twisties. "Yea, your Camaro may have just destroyed my rice wonder Sentra in a straight line, but I'll own you in the twisties."
