Troost is an East Side street in Kansas City, Missouri. It is characterized by unoccupied buildings, arcades, and prostitutes working the corners. Most people in the suburbs of Kansas City fear Troost, however residents of urban Kansas City know its limits. I was walking through my cute suburban neighborhood, but it felt more like I was on Troost. I started to cry.
