Band Camp is usually a one-two week experience at the school you attend. Marching drills are learned while in the sun getting wierdly shaped tan lines. American Pie is no definition of this. "One time at band camp...I put a flute in my pussy." That's a lie. It's basically physically impossible. Band camp is a time where students can learn their drills for football games at half-time, chill with friends and make new ones. In band camp, students usually go through basics, full enmemble, sectionals, drill, and parade march. Full ensemble is when the entire band gets together and practices the music or routine they learned in sectionals. Marching is usually not required. Sectionals is when tubas, battery, pit, flutes, trumpets and so on seperate and learn their own music so the leader of that group can focus on one person at a time. Drill is when the band goes on the field, or anything size related as far as sidelines and hash marks, and learns movements. Parade march is basically getting in lines to march in a big parade. Basics are boring streatches and marches learned to make a nice band.
