A courtroom/crime drama series by Capcom which started in Japan in 2001 as a GameBoy Advance game called Gyakuten Saiban. More commonly identified by its rather popular titular character, Phoenix Wright. You basically have to investigate every crime, with some interesting/annoying characters along the way then battle it out in the courtroom with prosecutors who are German or arrogant as f***. Also, 3 of the games have the assistants underage for no goddamn reason. Has currently 5 games released in the US, 7 in Japan (not including one spinoff) and one announced for both regions. Has a crapton of Mangas and Artbooks. Also has quite the supply of rabid fangirls who are guaranteed to ship every two characters in the series together. ALL OF THEM. Their fans are dedicated to the series, to the point that when the main character changed for once most of them were so angry Phoenix Wright had to get back. Also, has many ask roleplay blogs on Tumblr.

Titular Characters: Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, Miles Edgeworth
Fangirl: OH EM GEE THIS TWO I SHIP THEM TOO MUCH EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK *faints*

Person 1: OBJECTION!
Person 2: SHUT UP.

Fan: APOLLO JUSTICE SUCKS PHOENIX WRIGHT FTW

Other Fans: YESSSSSS!!!

A skilled Japanese game director best known for creating Devil May Cry. He has worked for Capcom's Clover Studios in the past, but now he works at Platinum Games. His works also include Resident Evil 2, Viewtiful Joe, Okami, Bayonetta and The Wonderful 101. Kamiya is also known for his Twitter, where he replies to fans with a generally outspoken behaviour, occassionally replying with his catchphrase "Ask your mom" and blocking for repetitive questions (or really anyone he deems an idiot). Oh, and a lot of profanity.
Gamer: "Did you see this new game by Hideki Kamiya? The action is so over-the-top."

Twitter User: "Will Bayonetta 2--"
Kamiya: "AS I'VE SAID 10^n TIMES, BEFORE ASKING A QUESTION GOOGLE IT OR CHECK MY TWILOG OR ASK YOUR MOM."

Platinum Games Inc., formerly known as Seeds Inc., is an independent developer set in Japan. It was formed by Shinji Mikami, Atsushi Inaba and Hideki Kamiya of Clover Studios (known for Okami, Viewtiful Joe and Devil May Cry), which was closed by Capcom in October 2006. It has then proceeded to make games published by SEGA, including MadWorld, Infinite Space, Vanquish and Bayonetta, and two games published by Nintendo, The Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2. Key people currently include President Tatsuya Minami, Producer Inaba and Director Kamiya, as Mikami left to form his own studio after directing Vanquish, Tango Gameworks. Their games are usually very well-received, but very challenging.
Person: Platinum Games are working on a new IP. I can't wait to play it.
