The dunk was bamnned from college basketball from 1967-76. This was the same period that the ABA ( American Basketball Association ) was in existance.The ABA was the home to Dr.J and David Thompson the 2 most explosive dunkers of the era. Thompson and N.C. State beat UCLA in the 1974 National Semi-Final 80-77 in 2OT.

Bling City Dunkadelics ( Pop Culture ) Is a basketball nickname given to the winners of the NBA World Championship. When you win the Championship you recieve a diamond ring with the team logo that shines or in hip hop culture terminology ( Blings ).
The Detroit Pistons are the reigning 2004 Bling City Dunkadelics, and will try to repeat as the Bling City Dunkadelics for the 2005 NBA season.
