Even though the politicians realized that information from the new biometric database could be leaked, they reasoned "why would anyone want to hack it?"
Thus demonstrating both their ignorance of the possible risks, and their arrogance to think that no one would seek to exploit those risks. What irresponsible ignarrogance!
